Cryptophasa epixysta, n. sp.
επιξυστος, polished.
♀ 52-56 mm. Head orange-ochreous; face whitish. Palpi moderately long, second joint reaching base of antennae, terminal joint 2/3; whitish-ochreous, some dark-fuscous scales towards base of external surface of second joint. Antennae fuscous: Thorax white; tegulae fuscous; patagia ochreous. Abdomen dark-fuscous, undersurface ochreous; dorsum of first two segments whitish, of third segment, to a less degree of succeeding segments, and of tuft reddish-ochreous. Legs dark-fuscous; anterior coxae ochreous-whitish. Forewings elongate, costa gently arched, apex obtuse, termen gently rounded, slightly oblique; 2 from ¾; shining white; cilia concolorous. Hindwings and cilia white.
